The ONE day out of the past three weeks that I finally decide I’m gonna set my busy schedule aside and take the kids to the town pools and relax, and what happens? It rains. Not just plain ole rain but a freakin nasty-ass-lose-your-power-windows-leaking-basement-flooding thunderstorm. Which might have been a good thing if it reduced some of this awful humidity but no, not a chance. I still can’t breathe worth a damn and why bother showering when you get out and s soon as you pull the shower curtain have to wipe the sweat off once again. Can you tell I DON’T have air conditioning? P.S. I’m in a cramped upstairs apartment.
I can take heat, but high humidity gets me really cranky and unbearable. I was really looking forward to swimming today.
Aww...sounds horrendous Laura, we had about a week without the swamp cooler and our ducted aircon broke as soon as we turned that on to replace the other...it was humid here too which I can handle, I have more of a hard time with dry desert heat. It's raining here this morning and it's a nice change. We need it!
