I really wanted to make this one post, but for some reason only the Bravenet Gods understand, I was not allowed to display both the video in my earlier post and my father’s photo in one journal entry. Why, who knows…? I gave up after four tries. So dad gets his own post.

Rest in Peace and Know You are Loved
My older daughter spent some time with my mother today, trying to help her go through 46 years of stuff and see what she wants to keep and what to get rid of. When I came to pick her up she had found so many old photos. There were a lot of my Dad when he was younger… some of him holding me when I was a baby and I was so happy to see them. She also took home a handful of snapshots of herself with me, from when she was a baby (and I was 15 or so years younger). She kept telling me how pretty I was back then and at first I was thinking she was just saying that or thinking that because she’s my daughter, but then I actually looked at the photos and I realized I really did look pretty good back then. Funny how I really didn’t think so at the time. I never liked anyone to take my photo, and I’m surprised how many of them there were (but very glad too). I had so much (long) hair then and it’s nice to have photos of it. My daughter kept gushing about how I could have modeled. Who would have thought my 16 yr old would ever say such a thing to me! It got me thinking I should take some photos now because I might not think so at the moment but 20 years from now I’m going to think I looked really good when I was 42! LOL.
I wish I could scan in all the old photos they found but my scanner bit the dust several months ago and I haven’t had the extra cash to buy a new one. Every time I think I will something else comes up and the money gets diverted. At least I found the digital camera. Problem is I’ve been too busy to use it yet. This weekend though we are going to an amusement park so that will be an opportunity to get some shots of the kids. I haven’t wanted to take it to the pool without another adult or someone else around to watch it, I’m afraid it might grow legs. LOL.
